Education and Background

My doctorate degree is from the University of Denver, and I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the University of Minnesota Health Psychology Consortium at the Medical School.

In addition to providing individual and couples’ therapy, supervision, and consultation services, I am also adjunct faculty at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis (CCP), where I supervise students and early career professionals. I am a member of the Movie Night Committee of CCP, where we bring movies and lead discussions relevant to psychology and psychoanalysis.

I enjoy writing about psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. My recent essay entitled “Eros Vs. Thanatos” won second place in the APA Division 39 Candidate Outreach Committee’s national essay contest. My essay “Permission to Feel and Reflect” that I wrote for the Psychotherapy Action Network (PSIAN) is about some of my own personal experiences informing my practice.

I am interested in the arts of all kinds. I have a musical background, and I enjoy working with creative types and artists in general.
